Return & Refund Policy

At Leon Model, we stand behind the quality of every diecast masterpiece we ship. As fellow collectors, we want you to be completely satisfied with your addition to your garage.

If something isn't right, we are here to help. Please read our detailed return and refund policy below.

1. 14-Day General Return Policy (Buyer's Remorse)

If you change your mind about a purchase, we accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date. To be eligible for a general return, the item must meet the following collector standards:

  • The item must be in the same condition that you received it: unopened, unplayed with, and in its original Mint condition.
  • The original factory shrink wrap (if applicable), acrylic display case, and outer carton must be entirely intact and undamaged.

Please note for general returns: Buyers are responsible for the return shipping costs to our Hong Kong warehouse. Once we receive and inspect the item to confirm its mint condition, we will issue a refund for the product price. Original shipping fees (and the actual shipping cost incurred by us for "Free Shipping" orders) are non-refundable.

2. Non-Returnable Items (Custom Modifications)

To provide unique stances, we offer custom modified products. Please note that the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged:

  • Custom Rolling Stance Models: Any model that has been pre-customized by our technicians (e.g., rolling wheel modifications, lowered suspensions) is considered a custom-made item and is strictly non-refundable for buyer's remorse.
  • Clearance or Sale items: All sales are final on discounted merchandise.
  • Gift cards: Non-returnable and non-refundable.

3. Arrived Damaged or Wrong Item Sent

While our double-layered bubble wrap and reinforced cartons prevent 99% of transit damage, couriers can sometimes be rough. To protect your rights and expedite any claims, we strongly recommend recording a continuous, unedited unboxing video when you open the package.

If your model, its acrylic case, or the display box arrives damaged, or if you received the wrong item, please follow these steps:

  • Contact us at official@leonmodel.com within 24 hours of delivery (based on the courier's official tracking timestamp).
  • Include your Order Number in the subject line.
  • Attach your unboxing video (highly recommended) and clear photos showing: 1) The damaged model/case, 2) The condition of the outer shipping box, and 3) The shipping label.

Once verified, we will take full responsibility. We will either send you a replacement free of charge, provide replacement parts (e.g., a new acrylic cover), or issue a full refund, depending on inventory availability and your preference.

4. Factory Variances vs. Defects

1:64 scale models are highly detailed micro-engineering pieces, and many parts are hand-assembled at the factory. Therefore, microscopic imperfections are normal.

Minor factory variances such as tiny paint dust, microscopic decal slight misalignments, or very minor tire molding lines are not considered defective items. We do not accept free returns for these minor, industry-standard factory variances. However, missing parts (e.g., a missing spoiler or mirror) are considered true defects and will be fully covered under our Damaged/Defective policy.

5. Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, please email us immediately.

  • Before Dispatch: Orders can be cancelled for a full 100% refund as long as they have not yet been processed and packed by our warehouse.
  • After Dispatch: Once the tracking number has been generated and the package has left our facility, the order cannot be cancelled. You will need to wait for it to arrive and follow the 14-Day General Return Policy.

6. The Refund Process

If your return is approved and shipped back to us, we will notify you via email once we have received and inspected the returned item. If the item passes our QC inspection (original condition), your refund will be processed immediately.

A credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Please allow 3 to 7 business days for your bank or credit card company to post the funds to your account.

7. Lost Packages / Return to Sender

If your tracking shows no movement for an extended period, we will open an investigation with the courier. If the package is officially declared lost in transit, we will issue a full refund or a replacement.

Please note: If a package is returned to us by the courier due to an "Insufficient / Incorrect Address" provided by the buyer, or because the buyer failed to pay local import taxes (if applicable), we will refund the order minus the original shipping costs and any return shipping fees charged by the courier.
