I have been a petrolhead for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Hong Kong—a city where car culture is woven into the very fabric of the neon-lit streets—my love for automobiles naturally translated into a passion for miniature models. I am what you would call a veteran collector. Like many of you, I started my journey with the basic blister pack toy cars hanging on supermarket pegs. But as I grew older, my pursuit of detail, accuracy, and absolute perfection led me deep down the rabbit hole of premium 1:64 scale diecast models—and eventually, into the art of modifying them.

Later, everything changed after I moved to the United Kingdom for my studies and eventually settled here after graduation.

The Missing Link: Why Is It So Hard to Build the Perfect Custom 1:64 Model?

Living in the UK, I suddenly found myself completely disconnected from the vibrant diecast customization scene I was so used to back in Asia. I realized there was a massive geographical gap when it came to modifying these tiny masterpieces.

While the global community continued to rave about standard factory releases, I was looking for more—aggressive aftermarket body kits, hyper-realistic resin wheels, and functional bearing axles to achieve that perfect stance. But trying to source premium 1:64 modification parts or pre-customized models in the West was a nightmare.

I had to navigate sketchy overseas platforms, dealing with huge markups and language barriers. Even worse, when fragile custom parts or fully modified cars finally arrived after weeks of waiting, they were often crushed in transit. And if a custom wheel didn't fit right or an axle was broken? Absolute silence. No replies, no refunds, just a broken model and a broken heart.

I realized that overseas collectors and builders were missing out on the golden age of 1:64 customization because they lacked a reliable, trustworthy bridge. They needed a studio and parts supplier built by modders, for modders.
