We want you to be confident in every purchase. Because model cars are delicate collectibles, this policy clearly explains how we handle refunds, returns and replacements for international orders shipped via freight forwarders (no customer customs clearance required).

Issues covered here include damaged products on arrival, incorrect shipments, cancellations before dispatch, and rare manufacturing defects.

2. When You Can Ask for a Return or Refund

We accept returns and issue refunds in the following situations:

  • The item arrives damaged or defective on delivery

  • You receive the wrong product

  • A confirmed manufacturing defect is later identified

  • A preorder is cancelled before shipment

Unlike some stores that only offer store credit or partial repair credit for damage claimsModel Cars Houston, we aim to offer full refunds or replacements depending on the case and condition reported.

3. Time Limits & Condition Requirements

To be eligible:

  • You must contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos of the issue (outer box, inner packaging, and the product itself).

  • Reports made after 7 days may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis but cannot be guaranteed.

  • Returned items must be packaged securely, ideally in original packaging.

4. How to Request a Return or Refund

To start:

  • Include your order number, description of the issue, and photos showing damage or defect.

  • We will review and respond within 1 business day with next steps and return instructions.

Do not ship items back before authorization. Unauthorized returns may be refused or delay processing.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrived damaged or broken in transit:

  • Take photos of the outer carton, inner protective packaging, and the damaged product.

  • Email them to us within 7 days.

  • Once approved, we will either:

    • Send a replacement where available, or

    • Issue a full refund upon return of the original item,

    • Or offer a partial refund if you prefer to keep and repair the item yourself.

6. Incorrect Shipments

If we sent the wrong model:

  • Contact us within 7 days of receipt.

  • We will provide a prepaid return label (or freight instructions) for the incorrect item.

  • Once we receive and confirm the return, a full refund or replacement will be issued.

7. Returns & Freight

Because all orders are shipped internationally:

  • Return shipping costs will be covered by us for damaged or incorrect items.

  • For other eligible returns (e.g., preorder cancellations before shipping), no return shipping is required.

  • We will provide clear return instructions; do not ship items back without guidance.

8. Refund Timing

Once the returned item is received and inspected:

  • Refunds are processed to your original payment method.

  • It typically takes 3–7 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.

If it has been more than 10 business days after we confirmed the return, contact us to check the status.

9. Preorder & Cancellation Policy

If you cancel a preorder before it is dispatched:

  • You will receive a full refund without the need to return anything.

  • If the preorder item has already shipped, it follows the standard damaged/incorrect return process above.

10. No‑Fault Returns

Because of international freight and customs volume, we do not generally offer returns for “change of mind” after delivery. If you receive a perfectly shipped model but simply decide you don’t want it, this is treated as final sale.

However, if there are packaging mistakes, missing parts, or defects not related to shipping damage, contact us and we will work with you to make it right.
